Most of you have probably heard of the Asch Conformity experiment, in which test subjects overwhelmingly went along with obviously-wrong answers when put in a room with peers who all agreed on the wrong answer. It teaches us so much about not only conformity but groupthink, and how people can be made to believe the most absurb things. Politicians and the media use these principles to get their followers to go along with the most nonsensical, illogical statements. Your favorite politicians make the statements, then the biased-to-your-point-of-view media echoes the statements to make you believe it’s a widespread belief. That’s how the Left goes along that a 300-lb muscular XY dude with a dick is definitely a woman, while it’s totally logical to require a photo ID for flying, buying groceries, or driving a car but racist if voting. Meanwhile, Trump & Fox News commentators can all tell you the Iran military, nuclear program, and infrastructure have been totally destroyed, the Strait of Hormuz is wide open, but gas remains over $4 a gallon and it takes 6 months to reach a deal with a country that has zero leverage. 👍

Combine this with the neverending “the other side is worse” justification, and we end up where we are now. There’s no easy fix, but more tribalism and Asch Conformity reenactment aren’t the answer!
