Can We Learn Some Lessons from This Colossal F*ckup? 🙄
This ranks among the most pointless wars in world history. Like Bush’s Iraq War, the reasons for launching it were all over the place before settling on weapons of mass destruction. It was in actuality a regime change war that didn’t go as planned, so to save face the Trump administration fell back on it being about Iran’s nuclear program. Even if you believe Mossad/CIA intelligence on the program, did we really eliminate the capabilities, and do we really believe they won’t be 1000 times more motivated to get it going again? American military power, as great as it is, has limitations. it can take out conventional military threats, but there’s only so much it can do about terrorism and economic disruption. Iran and other enemies now know this is the best way to combat western powers.
This “peace” deal likely will end up costing us several times more than the extensive military resources wasted to conduct the war, and it relies on the two countries in the world most notorious for breaking peace agreements — Israel and Iran. Iran has an extensive history of using ceasefire agreements to retool and rebuild. A 60-day deal simply brings us closer to midterms, where Trump’s negotiating leverage falls even more. Israel hates the deal and will look for the slightest provocation to relaunch strikes. Even if the deal somehow works out, these kind of wars create lasting hatred and mistrust, while turning a new generation of Muslims against the West.
When you consider the military costs, peace deal payouts, and economic damage to the world, the cost of this war will easily surpass $1 trillion. Can anyone think of an example of a trillion that Democrats want to seize, since the U.S. government is sooooo awesome at allocating resources?! 🤔

I was totally in for Trump (never liked JD) but now I listen to other points of view, mainly Podcasts on YouTube: Dave Smith, Breaking Points, The Young Turks, James Li, Kim Iverson, Tucker, Jimmy Dore, Candace, etc. Makes you rethink what you were taught (indoctrinated with) by Fox News.

Sorry, I believe absolutely nothing from this administration anymore. Both Iran and Trump officials have bullshit on a daily basis since the war started. I voted for Trump 3 times, but his 2nd term has been nothing but lies, betrayals, gaslighting, swamp protecting, and insults on a daily basis.
