1. Opened the page this morning, “Stingrays….” Not sure what I expected but……

   If you like the taste of caviar you’ll love stingray flap. The chap was from Melville Island, speared and cooked one for our evening meal. I needed a whole bunch of TP next morning.

   Darwin, 1965. Can’t mention the chap’s name, he passed in 1966. If you saw the movie “Jedda” you’ll know who befriended me for a weekend in the scrub, learning a little bit about native ways. Darn, that one word stirred up a whole bunch of long ago memories.
