  1. Yeah, Copilot in Excel just pisses me off to no end. I’m using the same basic spreadsheet I made 20 years ago for my home budgeting. It has all my important categories and nothing I don’t need. Yet now every time I open it the stupid AI bullshit tries to make suggestions. STFU, I know what I’m doing. Jeez, there’s no way to permanently turn it off, either. It restarts every time I re-open the spreadsheet. AI has to stop somewhere.

    • Ughh. I don’t think Microsoft has made a useful change to any of their office products in over 15 years.

      • The only way I can disagree with you is on your time estimate. I’d say 25+ years – Excel ’97 was actually a fairly useful product IMHO, but it’s been all downhill since then. I’ve been using StarOffice/OpenOffice/LibreOffice for a _very_ long time…

  2. Regarding the “Data Center in your backyard”, I would prefer that over a convenience store any day. No loafers and loiterers, no drug deals, no loud traffic 24/7/365. What’s not to like?
