So, think about those numbers…despite the fact the feds had record revenues from income tax plus all this tariff money supposedly coming in, and while parts of the government were shut down, we still managed to exceed the deficit of October 2020….you know, when much of the country was still shut down for Covid and the federal government was handing out “free” money left and right. Good thing DOGE was shuttered in a cost-saving move. That staff of seven was pushing us over the limit! 👍

I will say one thing about “woke” culture that I agree with: some have pointed out that Black children and teens need to see examples of Black people who don’t just rap, play sports, or get involved in the “thug life”. A lot of movies and shows from before the late 2010s, make it seem like there are few other options for Black teenagers as they get older.
However, I (a woman) completely disagree with the unnecessary “checklist” of characters in movies and shows: Gay men? Check. Lesbians? Check.
Woman saying something to make a white man feel stupid? Check.
Woman in a position of authority? Check.
Friends and neighbors who are Hispanic, Asian, or Indian? Check.
Boyfriend/husband cleaning the house, or preparing food and serving it to a woman? Check. (Don’t want young girls to think it’s okay to enjoy cooking and help clean your own home.)
