I don’t carry a ridiculous amount of stuff in my handbag, but there are still more items than I could comfortably fit in pockets: keys, phone, small wallet/billfold, a couple of pens, small hairbrush, lip balm, emergency menstrual pads. I would probably buy handbags anyway.
