This is reminiscent of when Facebook and pre-Elon Twitter regularly scanned and censored private messages, even using those messages as grounds for deplatforming millions of accounts. I left Twitter during Covid after seeing <message deleted for misinformation> in my private mailbox far too often. Whether or not messages are censored, you can bet the info is being fed into their social credit score evaluations used to compile “Enemies of the State” watch lists.
