No President in History Has Nuked His Reputation and Legacy So Quickly

It’s no longer just that I don’t respect, trust, or believe Trump. In recent weeks, I’ve grown to passionately despise him. And it’s not because of media-manufactured stories, Never-Trump commentators, or any of the usual bullshit that drives TDS sufferers. It’s Trump’s own words and the recent actions of his administration. I’m thinking maybe his compromised presidency is part of a Ruling Class/intelligence agency deliberate plan to divide the Republican party, ensuring Democrats get enough power temporarily to put in controls (censorship, no-ID voting, unchecked immigration, etc.) that ensure their indefinite rule and globalist vision. Trump is also taking down once-promising careers of many in his administration, such as JD Vance.

Trump supporters have stayed loyal through 10 years of scandals, lies, hoaxes, media hysteria, and every kind of attack imaginable. Now he’s calling those same supporters weak, claiming they’re stupidly falling for hoaxes?! Seriously?!! Oh, and telling me to “move on” and “stop talking” about Epstein is a great way to make sure I do NOT move on or stop talking about Epstein. At this point, I’m fast losing respect for the people who continue to defend him.

A good test is, in response to recent events (Epstein, spending bills, wars, Palantir, gaslighting insults, etc.), would you react any differently if President Kamala Harris was in charge?

Gonna say it- Trump showing us his “fruit” is a good thing. He did unforgivable things while 45, and was forgiven, or justified. Now 47 is nuked. Now maybe people will wake up from their cult-like idolatry of him, recognize no one in power can be trusted, no one is coming to save hem, politics is not a mechanism for fixing anything, and finally that Christ alone is worthy of our trust and devotion and worship. But I’m a dreamer…yet I know how it ends as the Bible tells us enough. We are on that path very clearly now. How I wish folks could discern the evidence before and all around them…or at least think for themselves- maybe that would lead to discernment???
That last meme was my high school yearbook quote. Beyond true.
Trisha Hope: you said it, girl. There are a lot of us stupid former Trump supporters looking for a way out of this mess, but none of the options are attractive. I think he just lost the House majority in the midterms, because a lot of us will just stay home in November.
How did you suddenly become anti-Trump? I don’t like this Epstein thing any better than you do, but isn’t he doing MAGA in so many other areas? Talk about throwing out the baby with the bath water! Is there any possibility that there is more going on behind the scenes? I never thought I would see you throwing in with the Democrats!
I guess I have to quit viewing your posts. (see what I did there?)
It’s ironic to see MAGA vs MAGA but in the end, I believe the true MAGA will triumph. Those that oppose Trump now have revealed themselves as the Real Left. When this mess blows over, and it will, what remains will be the true America.
No, those that still care about freedom, liberty, and accountability, will continue long after Trump has been dumped and replaced. Sad that you think that wanting the truth is now “left,” when before it was MAGA. America will be made great by the people who SELECTED TRUMP (not the other way around), and they will continue their quest regardless of his Deep State behavior.
Shame on you fair weather Republicans. President Trump is the greatest President of this century. He has accomplished more in 6 months than Obama and Biden put together. He has done for you and me exactly what he told you he would do. What have the Dems done? Stand on the steps and sing? Instigate riots. Obama the great divider. Biden the great zero. A president that couldn’t write his own name. If you can’t back President Trump, you should join the left. I hope you can sing and riot.
Libertarians crack me up. The ultimate party with all the answers … that can’t get elected. It’s actually a great place to be, the sidelines, you can do all of the criticizing with none of the accountability. Don’t have to build coalitions within the DC hive of vermin. Just be whiners and complainers who know nothing they offer will ever be done. It’s not that Libertarians are wrong – I have a libertarian streak myself – it’s that they are ineffective.
Trump badly miscalculated on Epstein. Very true. There is definitely a “there” there. Am I going to abandon Trump over it? Nope. I didn’t abandon Reagan back in the day, either, and he didn’t do everything right either. What I speculate is that the Epstein Files have INTERNATIONAL implications. Not just national. I also speculate there are names, videos, and what have you, about people it might shock some to think they could have been involved. What the Epstein case proved to me is what I’ve been saying since 2015 when Trump came down the escalator: ONE MAN cannot, and will not, “drain the Swamp.” It is impossible. It is also impossible that it would ever be done in one or two terms. It will take AT LEAST two generations of steady fighting, incremental changes, and public attention to make happen.
Which brings me back to my first paragraph. Libertarians want change? Great. Show me what you are DOING, not just complaining about. Show me where you are sacrificing things in your own lives to go out and man that protest line, go to precinct, school board meetings and the like ON A REGULAR BASIS. Then, I might pay attention. The late, great Rush Limbaugh used to say on his show (paraphrased), “The problem is most people can’t, or don’t want to, pay attention to, or get involved to level it’s required, in order to effect political change. Those politicians we send to DC? They live it and breathe it day in, day out, 24/7/365. They know all they have to do is wait until the public gets tired, or gets what they want for now, and then they go right back at it.” His point dovetails with mine: We keep thinking if we elect this person or that, we’ll get the change we want. When that person disappoints us – as they inevitably will – we move on to the next shiny object. Libertarians are no different. They have a love affair with the Massie types, and the Paul types. When I ask them what any of their idols have DONE to effect change? Crickets. I can point you to real things Trump has done to move this country where it needs to go. Warts and all.
I think Milei is showing us the model of libertarianism in Argentina right now, but you’re absolutely right in saying the Libertarian Party in American is about as incompetent as they come when it comes to elections. Libertarians are trying to spread ideological principles of limited government, balanced budgets, and freedom. I’m not sure why that offends people so much. Republicans run on libertarian principles EVERY election but then NEVER follow thru once in office, using excuse after excuse. Trump started out following those principles at the beginning of his term and was at 65 percent approval. Since then, he’s morphed back into the typical DC Bush swamp Republican that people are sick of. And it’s bullshit that libertarians don’t do anything but complain. If they hadn’t come out in droves for him in 2024, we’d have President Kamala Harris right now. Tucker Carlson and Elon Musk led the way in motivating turnout and support. Trump has now told that voting segment GFY and well as many of his most loyal supporters. I’m guessing Trump will be in the 30s for approval soon. Adding the Epstein bullshit to his other war and spending agenda almost guarantees Republicans will get slaughtered in the midterms. I posted hundreds of pro-Trump memes over the years, and he’s managed to make me despise him. It’s 3rd party or bust for me now.
Btw, I get building coalitions to get stuff passed is hard, but if u sacrifice all your principles, pass crap that isn’t much different than Dem bills, and make compromises to shield pedophiles, it’s not worth it!
“… I get building coalitions to get stuff passed is hard, …” Yep. It sure is. Which is why sacrificing principles IN THE MOMENT to get an incremental improvement is usually necessary. Libertarians want it all “right now.” You and I are both old enough to know that NOTHING changes quickly in this country. The so-called “rapid” change in the last decade or so is the culmination of decades of incremental change to the left which brought us to the precipice. And, in part, the rapidity with which the left closed their trap has more to do with first, The TEA Party movement of the Obama years, and more recently Trump’s trip down the escalator in 2015. There is now a real threat to the Uni-Party domination. Which brings me to something else you said in your reply to me.
“It’s 3rd party or bust for me now.” Which is exactly what the Uni-Party (or globalists, or whatever you want to call them) want you to do. Because it will insure Democrat/Communist (because let’s face it, they are coming out as full on Communists) or liberal GOPe domination. In other words, it will insure the continuation of the Uni-Party. If my history is correct, there is only 1 third party candidate to have won the presidency in the last century or so, and scant few that have inhabited the halls of Congress. Third. Parties. Do. Not. Win. In the U.S. The exceptions to that prove the rule. And frankly, the Libertarian party is the proof to that axiom.
I will leave you with this … It is my opinion that the actual Epstein Client List (in whatever form it is) would be an earthquake of catastrophic levels. Not just nationally. Internationally. I suspect the list could bring down the world order as we know it now, and there is no managing that. Anarchy, violence, and societal collapse would ensue. Maybe I’m right, or partially so. Maybe I’m not. All I know is that I have never seen the visceral reaction on an issue from Trump in regards to his base. That tells me there is a good level of fear from him on this issue. Not because he’s embroiled in it as some on the left and in the propaganda media insist. It’s because Trump understands the implications. I learned during the first term that even when I thought Trump was making a huge mistake on something, if I gave it time to ferment, Trump was usually proven justified in his original action. I’m now watching the criminal referral of Obama, Comey, and Brennan to the DoJ. No way do I believe any of the three will see jail time. I do think their reputations can be absolutely shredded by the investigation. My point being, there is more than one way to bring down the Uni-Party/Swamp/Globalist empire. A way that is more manageable. And might even open up new eyes.
“…sacrificing principles IN THE MOMENT to get an incremental improvement is usually necessary. Libertarians want it all “right now.””
That is false. Libertarians would be happy with incremental improvement. Instead, we have had continuous, unbroken decline in our freedoms since 9/11. That includes Trump’s first term, in which he allowed the swamp creature Pompeo to imprison Assange and send a message to the few remaining journalists of the world that the Empire of Lies will not permit any important truth to be revealed to the public.
“I will leave you with this … It is my opinion that the actual Epstein Client List (in whatever form it is) would be an earthquake of catastrophic levels. Not just nationally. Internationally. “If something cannot go on forever, it will stop.”
–Herbert Stein
You will not avoid collapse. The only question is what form it will take. Will it be the birth of something better, or a descent into something worse? Truth, transparency, good will, and love for others lead toward the better path. Lies, secrecy, depravity, fear, hatred, and greed will lead toward the worse.
But either way, the collapse will not be avoided. A $1 Trillion increase in debt every 100 days is not sustainable. The exponentially rising debt, and the global political patronage system which it supports, will, at some point, come to an end. Trump had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reduce spending to sustainable levels in a controlled fashion. Instead he threw that opportunity away to give us our country’s first $1 Trillion Pentagon budget. A messy financial collapse now seems inevitable, and I anticipate the global elites will seek to exploit the impending financial chaos to impose new structures and systems which further erode our freedoms, just as they do in response to every crisis.
Finances aside, our so-called “rules-based international order” rests upon a foundation of lies, secrecy, violence, and propaganda. By engaging in lies and secrecy regarding the Epstein case, Trump feeds the illness which infests our system and does not delay but rather hastens its collapse. A system which conceals its rotten and hollow core with a false and glittering exterior, a system which punishes honesty and integrity, a system which rewards deceit and depravity, a system which shuns transparency and light in favor of darkness and concealment, is a system which will inevitably collapse–and justly deserves to.
