Repeating Mistakes of His First Term

Americans didn’t vote for the Lindsay Graham/Mitch McConnell RINO wing of the party. I realize it’s difficult to get any bill passed when 500+ of 535 Congressional members are hardened DC swamp creatures, but at some point a president needs to take a stand, vetoing every bloated unsustainable spending bill that only continues us on the path to hyperinflation. Many voters hoped Trump was cowboy enough to do that, but those hopes are fading fast. You shouldn’t need to run any more polls or focus groups. Trump’s popularity was at an all-time high when DOGE was taking a chainsaw to the budget, even drawing significant Democrat voter support. If he doesn’t change course soon, he’s going to lose the libertarian wing for good and be relegated to the 30 percent of the nation that will support him no matter what he does. I’m definitely not one of those.
BTW, as bad as this bill proposal has been, can you imagine how bad it would be if Democrats had control of the Presidency and both houses? It’s not surprising they’ve been against any cut to benefits for illegals, nor the opposition to fixing of waste, fraud, and abuse. But it’s mind boggling to see they’re now fully on board with blank check increases to defense spending. For most of my life, that was the ONLY type of spending cut they would ever agree to. Given they won’t even cut that, is there really anything that can stop the U.S. dollar from becoming the Zimbabwe dollar if they ever again get filibuster-proof control (like they had under Obama)? The way Trump and RINOs in Congress have handled the past couple months, they’re well on their way to handing that kind of power right back.
