Quote from an Underrated President

If you ever look at a ranking of America’s Best Presidents by historians, you’ll find a commonality among most of the so-called best: they majorly expanded government & executive power while ignoring the Constitution. Woodrow Wilson and both Roosevelt’s are the best examples. Also, many of them simply happen to be president when certain crises occurred ,which they’re giving credit for “solving,” even when they themselves created the crisis or had nothing to do with the solution. For example, FDR is preceived as fixing the Great Depression with all his government programs and alphabet agencies. However, if you examine economic measures such as the record of unemployment, you’ll see that after initial dips, unemployment spiked back up to almost 20 percent in his 2nd term, far higher than nearby countries like Canada, and it didn’t go down until the thick of World War 2.
Meanwhile, presidents such as Calvin Coolidge, who presided over a booming economy and no major crises, are overlooked in rankings. Coolidge is often described as a “do nothing” president, as if that’s a bad thing. Not meddling with successful businesses or our personal lives is portrayed as a bad thing?!
Think about how fake, distorted, and one-sided mainstream media coverage is nowadays. This happens even as we observe it in real time and can double-check their bullshit. Keep that in mind as you read your history. Realize that historians have the same kind of leftist biases. You might just think differently about the events and people we’ve been told are good or bad.
