The tax you pay on social security benefits is complicated, but because the income limits are so low and were never indexed for inflation, almost all Americans with a job or 401(k) withdrawals are paying taxes on benefits. A fast food worker often exceeds the threshold for having ALL their f-ing social security benefits taxed. Plus, benefits are capped at about $5000/month no matter how much you pay in, so it’s not like the rich have relatively much to tax. Yet, this is the way CNBC describes the plan?!! Never mind the fact that it’s horseshit to begin with that we have to pay taxes on benefits we earned from paying a lifetime of social security taxes along with our employer!
CNBC has become the financial version of MSNBC nowadays. You can count on 5-10 hit pieces daily on its network and website. Every Trump policy brings some kind of sky-is-falling prediction for an industry, consumers, or the world itself. And as with almost everthing in MSM, they usually present zero discussion of the positive benefits of the policies. As we end the first month of Trump’s 2nd term, CNBC’s Trump prediction team has scored a perfect 0.00 percent accuracy. No harm done–on to the next 10 daily sky-is-falling predictions!
